accede vs exceedaccede vs exceed  accede (to agree): They had little choice but to accede.

exceed (to go beyond, surpass): The final cost will not exceed $3000.

accept (to agree to): It was true, but it’s hard to accept.

except (not including, apart from): Our office is open every day except Sunday.

We should put an ad in the local paper. We want to add also your name  to the list.

We’ll adapt quickly to the new system. They decided to adopt a baby girl soon.

Lack of money will also have an adverse effect on our business. She was averse to any change.
